Shinkansen: The Best Way To Travel Through Japan

There is only one way to truly experience Japan and that is via Shinkansen, known in the west as the infamous Bullet Train. Before we left on our adventure, Brad and I organised JR Passes, which allowed us to travel on any JR Line throughout Japan. It is the most economic, simple and efficient way to see all that Japan has to offer. We used our JR Passes to travel to and from Tokyo, Takayama, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Arashiyama, Hiroshima and Osaka, with about a million more destinations we didn't have enough time to see.

Travelling in the Green Car, we were blessed to view the beautiful Japanese countryside in comfort, more than likely snuggled up in my new favourite knitted jumper I picked up whilst in Singapore. There really is nothing like speeding in and out of snowy mountains, over tranquil rivers, and through small farming towns, whilst enjoying a delicious bento box and hot chai latte.

If only travel through Australia was this easy, huh!?
