FCUK MONDAYS
Mondays aren't so bad in 5-inch heels.
________
Okay, so I lie. Mondays aren't bad at all. In fact, I flippin' love Mondays! And while pretty leather dresses and fabulous peep toe boots might have a little something to do with my Monday-[in]fatuation, I try to view the beginning of the 'working week' as the catalyst of opportunity. In my case, 'working week' definitely deserves the use of a couple of apostrophes because, well, I 'work' from Monday to Monday (why work 9 to 5 when you could 'work' 24/7, right?). I also put 'work' in apostrophes because, well, I love what I do. Okay okay, enough with the apostrophes.
Before I'm bombarded with hundreds of emails and numbed by a sky-high to-do list early on Monday morning, I've made a habit of reviewing the coming week prior to getting a good night's sleep on Sunday night. This gets me excited for the things we're going to plan, ideate and create, and also allows me to take a moment to prioritise what needs to be done (ahem, emails). I've always been a planner. I just like planning. I like to plan using lists, charts, tables, etc. You name it, I probably like it. Find what you enjoy, what will motivate you, and begin your week doing it. It won't only help conquer your Mondayitis, but will also change your mindset for the rest of the week. Monday, after all, is a fresh start; the beginning of a week of opportunity.
If all else fails, begin the week 5-inches taller. Also, coffee. 'Nuff said.
