Summer Vs Winter With Incyda The Label
Like my donning bright, light, summery prints
will magically ward off winter.
________
I'm just going to come right out and say it: winter light is so much easier to shoot in. Unlike summer, the sun is never too harsh or too high in the sky, creating that perfectly soft backlit lighting, which I do like so much. Fellow photographers, you know what I'm talkin' 'bout.
I finally caught up with my bestie Brooke (of BEG Design) for the second time in almost six months on Monday. Over lunch and coffee, she told me all about her incredible adventures abroad in South East Asia and reminded me of the importance of travel, not that I could forget. But damn, is it good to have her home! By the end of this weekend, all of my fabulous ladies will be in the same city, the first time in months and months. It will be kind of weird all being together again, though I'm sure it won't last long.
After lunch, Brooke and I decided to make the most of such beautiful weather with a walk along the wharf. It was hard to believe that just a couple of hours earlier it had been raining and pouring (the old man was snoring?). With crunchy orange leaves under foot, it really was the most stunning autumn day. I've been making most of the warm afternoon sunshine though, wearing this fabulous printed Incyda skirt twice in less than a week. Truth be told, I'm probably in denial that it's only getting colder here in Australia, like my donning bright, light, summery prints will magically ward off winter. But then again, maybe all I need to do is whisk myself away to another tropical island. Thoughts?
