THE LAST DAY BEFORE WINTER

Untucked and creased, coincidentally convenient.
________

While I love the classic figure-hugging structure of a pencil skirt, my first instinct is to style it with something of the opposite nature; soft, oversized and baggy. A light blouse or silk cami or, in this case, my go-to bleached chambray shirt. Untucked and creased, the button-up shirt is the perfect contrast to the spliced leather detail, and not only because of its 'coincidental' convenience.

Brad and I shot these photographs during what seems to be Perth's last beautiful warm day before winter truly sets in. The last week has been a mixture of fresh and sunny, and overcast and rainy. When the sun does come out from behind the clouds, it has obviously lost the last of it's summer bite. Not that I'm complaining; we need the rain after yet another prolonged summer. I suppose that's the downfall to living in the sunniest capital city in the world (sigh)!
