The Balé Nusa Dua: Cooling Down In Style At The Upper Pool
Can you think of a better way to spend a day?
________
The lure of The Balé's exclusive Upper Pool was just too much for one to resist. It was one of the only temptations to draw us out of the comfort of our own private deluxe pavilion, but after scrolling though the photographs, can you blame us?
It was a sunny Nyepi Day, also known as Silent Day, a Balinese religious holiday where the whole island remains completely hushed. It is compulsory for the Balinese and tourists alike to remain within their homes, hotels and resorts. While many travellers tend to avoid visiting the island during Nyepi, Brad and I had looked forward to this opportunity to not only respect this day of silence and embrace the Balinese culture, but also have the chance to have one whole day to relax within our luxurious retreat.
The Upper Pool is the heart and soul of The Balé; peaceful, indulgent and, above all, luxurious. While I could easily spend an entire day (or week!) lounging within the day bed with a good book and/or Instagram (#bloggerlife), the perfectly turquoise, multi-level swimming pool begs for a refreshing dip, and even a lap or two. With appetising snacks and delicious cocktails on call with full poolside service, this is when I seriously question why we left this piece of absolute paradise.
At the end of this article, I've included a collection of my favourite bikinis for both the bigger bust (including the one I'm wearing) and smaller bust, all from ASOS.
