The Balé Nusa Dua: Breakfast At Faces Restaurant

If only every morning began like this.
________

'Tis true that I have a tendency to judge a cafe or restaurant by the quality of their coffee, which is probably unfair since I reside in coffee-loving Australia, where a perfectly brewed cuppa' is the norm.  When overseas, the first mission on the list is usually tracking down a delicious cappuccino, often impossible. So you can imagine my delight when I discovered my morning coffee in the comfort of The Balé, at the gourmet Faces Restaurant, without having to leave the retreat.

Overlooking the main poolside, Faces is an open-air restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in style. Using only the freshest produce, Head Chef Nadi and his team have created a menu featuring both Indonesian and Western cuisines, which are executed to delicious perfection.

On our first morning at The Balé, we decided to head up to Faces Restaurant to enjoy our breakfast. Greeted by friendly staff, we were recommended to begin with a basket of baked goods and a platter of tropical fruits as we were seated. As we appeased ourselves on fresh croissants and muffins, our sweet and savoury mains were served. Finishing with a glass of freshly blended juice, Face Restaurant truly serves the perfect breakfast spread, before a long day of indulgence (though not long enough!). If only every day could begin like this.
