L Hotel: Afternoon Tea at L Lounge
Spotted: tea trending on Lion in the Wild.
________
Have you noticed that three out of five of the latest articles involve me drinking some sort of tea? Is the coffee addict a convert? Well, I'd have to say no, as I sit here in my office drinking a cup of coffee (decaf; it's 7:00PM). Needless to say though, I've come a long way from the years not so long ago that I used to gag at the thought of tea. Afternoon tea always sent me awkwardly searching for coffee, but that was most certainly not the case at L Hotel.
Brad and I decided to make the most of these Alice in Wonderland-esque chairs by asking to enjoy our afternoon tea at L Lounge. Of course, with L Hotel's ask-anything butler service, this was an easy-breezy request. With a generous selection of tea on offer, I decided to go with a pot of classic French Earl Grey, while Brad opted for a sweet vanilla tea (to match his personality, of course). Almost immediately, a Balinese influenced, three-tiered stand was sitting before us featuring an array of sweet and savoury treats to keep us going until dinnertime. Or at least until we devoured plates upon plates of Little Bites on the Rooftop. My favourite was definitely the colourful fruit tart and not just because it was covered in chocolate.
I'm such a fan of this fabulous Paint It Red dress via Market HQ (on sale here); while it was my new infatuation with pink that caught my eye, it was the racer-style back that sealed the deal. It's these little details that I continuously look for in a piece, which makes my wardrobe just that more interesting.
