Summer in Spring with Lack of Color

And one of the best views in Perth.

________

How blessed we have been with such perfect warm spring weather over the last week or so (let's just pretend there wasn't a huge storm yesterday, eh?)! While most of the week was in the mid-twenties, Saturday rose to almost 35-degrees, the hottest September day ever in Perth. It's this time of the year when it finally begins to heat up that I try and spend as much time as possible outside, as we all know that before long it'll just be too damn hot. On this particular flawless blue-skied day, Brad and I enjoyed a late breakfast at Harvest Espresso and then ventured to South Perth to enjoy one of the best views in town.

It's this time of the year that shooting outfits becomes a little tricky, with the sun so high and harsh for most of the day. While sometimes it's hard to avoid shooting at this time, luckily I have a growing collection of fedora's in my wardrobe, including my newest addition by Lack of Color. It's kind of amazing, right? I love that it's a little different with it's dramatic wide brim and spliced grey/black tones. I styled it with my favourite wrap midi skirt (on sale!), pink camisole, oversized Hello Parry shades and strappy black heels; a feminine, yet slightly edgy look.

On another note, for those of you that don't follow Lion in the Wild on Instagram or Facebook, I'm thrilled to announce that I am now represented and managed by Matt Huxley at MODA Creative. It's an exciting step as we move into a new chapter of Lion in the Wild, one of which I'll be dedicating a lot more time to planning and producing high quality, original content for you, my lovely readers. While Brad does an exceptional job in the photography department, the rest of Lion in the Wild is a one (wo)man show. Behind the scenes, I'm often overwhelmed with emails, editing, writing, researching, planning, styling, producing, organising, emails, emails and more emails. While I'm incredibly grateful to be a full-time blogger, it's going to be amazing having a little help.

I never in a million years thought that my little space on the Internet would be where it is today and I cannot wait to grow and make it better than ever alongside the lovely people at MODA. I truly appreciate all of your incredible support over the past couple of years or so; what an adventure it has been!
