Hosting a Sunday Brunch with the Ladies

Gluten, gluten and more gluten.

________

You know what's better than sleeping-in on a Sunday? Sleeping-in and enjoying a delicious brunch with friends. The first I didn't do last weekend since I was busy prepping for my ladies brunch that I was hosting at our brand new house. Not one to host anything that demands such domestic skills (for those I lack or at least choose to), I was inspired by the new Avery Celebrations and Events collection. Before I knew it, I had a guest list the size of my dining table and a trolley full of fabulous (and affordable!) new homewares from Target.

With a pre-planned menu of pancakes, bacon and eggs, baked goods and even a huge list of drink options, come Sunday morning everything was ready to go. I had set the table the night before, allowing myself enough time in the morning to get ready and cook the pancakes, bacon and eggs, with a little lot of help from Brad.

When my wonderful friends arrived, I made them wait in typical blogger fashion to take a few snaps (heh-heh-heh) and then we tucked into some truly delicious glutenous food and washed it down with coffee, juice and my favourite Nexba Watermelon Ice Tea. Truth be told, I had truly outdone myself, especially seeing as though I am not a domestic goddess (everyone that knows me will attest to that).

The moral of this story is, of course, that anyone can host an event, so long as you have a little help (thanks heaps Avery, Target and Nexba!).
