New Purchase: The White Oversized Shirt
A must-have wardrobe essential.
________
A white button down shirt is right up there with the leather jacket, skinny jeans, a white tee and ankle boots when it comes to must-have cannot-live-without basic wardrobe essentials. I've had my fair share of white shirts over the years, but never something as basic as this one that I just snagged from ASOS for only $ (and it's selling out fast!). The ones currently in my wardrobe are collarless, sleeveless, striped or have fancy details like cutouts, so I've been searching for a classic, collared and oversized style for some time now. And then finally, as I mentioned on the weekend, I found the one.
I ended up ordering it in a few sizes up, even though it's a boyfriend style, but I just wanted to make sure it was going to be super oversized on me (I'm fairly busty, so I need that extra bit of room around there anyway). Truth be told, at least half of the contents of my wardrobe have been upsized for a more comfy, less body con fit. Needless to say, it is super big on me, which is going to be great for lazing around the house and also tucking the front into ripped denim shorts or skinny jeans.
Apologies in advance for wearing it in every second outfit post for the next forever, by the way. This is definitely the find of piece that works year round because of it's versatility to be styled a zillion different ways, whether it's layered or worn on it's own (hence it's status as a must-have wardrobe basic).
I was actually thinking that I should do an article featuring the different ways to style the boyfriend button-down shirt. Is this something you'd like to see?
