Trending: My 3 Favourite Blue Eyeliners
The beauty craze I never thought I'd embrace.
________
I first received the Clinique Quickliner For Eyes in 08 Intense Midnight in one of those 'with with purchase' gift bags, and I'll admit to being a little disappointed that it wasn't brown or black. It only took one swipe to completely change my mind though, as not only does the formula live up to its 'intense' name with a smooth creamy application of high pigmentation, but the colour is a very wearable shade of navy blue that has a slight metallic sheen. It also has a smudge tool on the end, making it the perfect pencil liner to create a smokey looking eye.
Gel eyeliners have been a huge part of my beauty routine until recently when liquid liners have dominated my looks. I used to use the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner religiously (heck, I had them in every colour), but then I stopped using them completely for no reason whatsoever (note to self: buy more). I'm definitely back onboard the gel liner train though with the Benefit They're Real! Push-Up Liner, which I have in a whole bunch of the new colours including the Beyond Blue. While it definitely takes a little while to get used to this gel pen, once you do, it's actually incredibly easy to create that perfect sharp winged liner thanks to its smart angled tip.
The Eyeko Visual Eyes Liquid Eyeliner in Marine (a more teal colour, as the name suggests) has a seriously brilliant super fine fibre brush, which applies thick or thin, depending on the amount of pressure you use. The liquid is also easily layered without taking off the first layer, so you can wear it as light or dark as you'd like as well. This is definitely a formula I need to try in the other colours too (it's that good!).
