The Nude Lip and Cheek Duo I'm Loving

Channeling my inner Kylie Jenner.
________

My nude lipstick collection seems to have grown thrice over this year. Actually, scrap that. My whole lipstick collection has multiplied thrice over. It may or may not have something to do with my growing beauty obsession and I can only blame myself. Oh, and stellar cosmetic brands like NudeStix, who seem to have perfected the whole nude makeup thing. In fact, the NudeStix Lip and Cheek Dual Pencil in Mystic/Whisper from Sephora has been my go-to over the last few weeks.

I'll admit, when I got it I was a bit disappointed that I'd got it in the darker duo, not the light Soul/Flesh combination. Since I'm very pale I thought that the Mystic/Whisper shades would be too dark for me, but my goodness was I wrong! The lip pencils are very flattering musk pink shades that really suit my skin tone (and I can imagine a lot of others too). I like to outline my lips with Mystic, the darker shade of the duo, and then fill in with Whisper, which definitely makes them look somewhat more voluptuous (aka. Kylie Jenner style, but not). While it is super creamy, I find it can get a little dry on the lips, so I like to put a lip balm underneath or a gloss over the top for some extra comfort.

It can also be used as a subtle cheek colour by simply drawing it on your cheeks and either using a brush (I'm wearing it like this in the photos) or your fingers to blend it in. I definitely prefer it used on the lips, but it's a great alternative if you lack time in the morning or space in your makeup bag when travelling. Needless to say though, I'll be wearing this NudeStix Lip and Cheek Dual Pencil a lot.

I did a round-up of my new favourite red lipsticks a couple of weeks ago, so I was thinking I should share with you my current go-to nudes as well. Let me know if you'd like to see something like this on the blog!
