New Beauty Releases: Mascara, Brows and Lips
The weekly round-up.
________
The Clinique new releases I'm excited about. Apparently my Clinique collection wasn't already big enough because I just a added a few spankin' new bits and bobs to my stash. First up is the Clinique Turnaround Revitalizing Instant Facial, which promises smoothness and radiance, gently (oh, yes please!). As soon as I heard there was a new Chubby Stick in town I knew it had to be mine since I own just about every single other one in multiple shades. Introducing the Clinique Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara (sounds amazing already, right?!) that I have in Massive Midnight. I have a couple of other products in Massive Midnight as well, so I was thinking I should create a navy eye look. What do you think? Clinique is also releasing a whole bunch of new shades in the Pop Lip Colour and Primer and Quickliner For Lips in November, so I can't wait to show you the super sexy shade I got my hands on. I'll report back, stat.
Jets for summer. I have a new favourite Jets by Jessika Allen bikini, so I'm just waiting for our hot beach weather to show it off. It's monochrome (tick), high necked (tick) and actually flattering (tick), and you can have a sneaky peek of its fabulousness here and here. The weatherman tells me it's going to be somewhere between the mid-twenties and early-thirties next week, so bring it on!
Brow This Way. I finally got around to trailing Rimmel London's new brow products this week and they're proving that they sure know good eyebrows. The Rimmel Brow This Way Brow Sculpting Kit and Brow Styling Gel are a match made in heaven. I was even impressed by the brushes that came with the Kit, including a combing wand and angled brow brush. I used a few shades, but it's the 002 Medium Brown that works a breeze with my colouring. I actually thought the 001 Blonde would be perfect for me, but it was just a tad too light.
Surgery (yikes!). So, during the last weekly round-up I spoke about my current problems with getting my Implanon taken out of my arm. As it turns out, my specialist couldn't get it out with just a local anaesthetic this week, so I'm scheduled to go in for a short surgery next week. There was just no way for him to get it out without a general anaesthetic, but weirdly enough I'm feeling quite calm about it, unlike my first appointment the week before when I was feeling a whole lot of anxiety (and I didn't even know it would become such a conundrum then!). Isn't it crazy how something so small can turn into something a whole lot bigger?
