4 Things To Do in Bed Before You Snooze
My bedtime in-bed beauty routine.
________
My bedtime routine begins with lighting my (1) Smith & Co. Linen Tin Candle by The Aromatherapy Company, which looks stunning on our new Mid-Century Bedside Tables, before I brush my teeth and get into my skincare regime. That way, when I walk back into our bedroom, I am greeted with the most comforting fragrance, like the soft sheets of our bed are floating through the room (I kid you not, you need to experience it). It's a subtle and soothing candle that reminds me it's time to rest, not time to spend scrolling through Instagram and Twitter (guilty as charged!).
Stashed in the top drawer of my bedside table are a bunch of goodies that are going to ensure that I wake up looking and feeling fresh. First in the line-up is the (2) Grown Alchemist Intensive Body Cream, which I'd like to think I apply every night, but alas, I don't. In saying that though, now that the nights aren't cold, I've been applying it more and more (another reason to love spring), and I'm rewarded with smooth, glowing skin when I wake up in the AM. Oh, and I avoid that irritating itchy feeling you can get from dry skin while I'm trying to snooze, so it's a win-win.
Once I've nourished my body, I then give some tender loving care to my poor, hard working hands that have been slaving away typing word after word all day long (ha!). While I have a pretty good collection of hand creams (I admit, they're one of my weaknesses), (3) The Aromatherapy Company's Smith & Co. Unwind Hand Balm is perfect for bedtime. Not only does it nourish my hands and renew them back to their natural softness, but its strong lavender scents helps me to, you guessed it, unwind.
Finally, after applying a nourishing layer of the (4) Lanolips 101 Ointment Multipurpose Balm on my lips (my new go-to bedtime balm after squeezing the last little bit of balm from my Lanolips Fruities 101 Ointment) and rubbing any excess into my cuticles, I blow out the Linen Tin Candle and snuggle into my warm sheets for a much needed sleep before my usual early morning rises.
What do you use to help you get some much needed zzz's and wakeup feeling fabulous? Perhaps the much hyped Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil or This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray? Can you tell they're both on my ever expanding wish list?
