My Current Thick and Natural Brow Routine

My go-to daily #BrowGoals products.
________

My goodness, have brow products come a very long way over the last few years or so! Back in the day (I say that because it would have been well over a half a decade ago), I used a brown eyeshadow from my then favourite Revlon eye shadow quad that was very similar to the Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eye Shadow. In fact, if my memory serves me correctly, I also used to use the thin applicator to apply it as well. Yikes. Fast forward to today, my brow products now have their own dedicated little tub in my makeup drawers. Oh, how times have changed.

Today I wanted to share with you my current brow routine, which focusses on defining my brows while also enhancing their natural shape and thickness. The last thing I want to do is make them look 'drawn on' or unnatural. I always begin with brushing my eyebrows upwards and out with the Ardell Duo Brow Brush.

Then, I use the wax from the Rimmel London Brow This Way Brow Sculpting Kit to outline their shape and fill them in from the tail inwards. I make sure that I only use the leftover wax on the brush as I go inwards, avoiding the 'block' look where it should instead be feathered naturally. Again, using the Brow This Way Brow Sculpting Kit, I set tail of my brows with a small amount of the powder, which defines them further. Special mentions go out to the Face of Australia HD Brow Kit (less than $10!) and the ModelCo Eyebrows Designer Brow Kit, both of which I've also been using religiously for years.

To finish my current brow routine, I apply the Rimmel Brow This Way Brow Styling Gel in Medium Brown with a very light hand to my brows, which makes them look far more natural and thick. As with any 'brow mascaras', it's very important to wipe away any excess product on the brush before applying it to avoid clumps. Another favourite eyebrow gel is the ModelCo More Brows Brush on Fibre Gel, which I raved on and on about here (and is a great option if you don't have much time), and the Per-fékt Brow Perfection Gel, both of which you really cannot go wrong with.

And voila! That is my current thick and natural brow routine, plus a few products that my eyebrows really couldn't live without.

PS. This week I'm doing a #7DayMakeupChallenge on the @lioninthewild social media channels, where I'll be trying at least one new product every day this week. Be sure to follow along on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for updates and reviews!

What are your favourite eyebrow products? I have a feeling a few of you may mention the Anastasia DipBrow Promade and Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Fibre Gel. Do they live up to the hype?
