My Overflowing Pink Lipstick Collection

From the highly pigmented lipsticks, the subtle glosses and the hydrating balms.
________

I've really been getting back into pink lipsticks recently. I don't know whether it's due to our wonderful spring weather or the fact that I've been making a huge effort to change things up a bit lately and experiment with my usual look, but hey, I'm definitely enjoying it. And to think it wasn't that long ago that I thought pink lipstick was too young for me (or made me look too young, either way), ha! What was I thinking?

One thing I've realised since getting back into this sweet beauty trend is just how out of control and overflowing my pink lipstick collection truly is - there's just no denying it any longer (and probably half the reason I'm back into pinks in such a big way; there's just no denying it). I thought I would share them all with you, especially after I just went back through all my lipsticks and reorganised these pretty tubes into plastic containers. There will be no more forgetting I had a particular lipstick or gloss or balm in this household!

THE LIPSTICKS

First up is my hot pink lipsticks, which actually get quite a lot of wear if you can't tell by the image above. For some reason, I find them the most wearable on a day-to-day basis. They're kind of like a red lipstick; one swipe and you feel amazing (and look awake, even if you've just pulled an all-nighter). My favourites at the moment are the 1. Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Moisturising Lipstick in Raspberry and 3. NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Yu.

3. NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Yu 4. Model Co Party Proof Lipstick in Parisian Pink 5. Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Power with Pink

The light pink/peach lipsticks far outweigh the hot pinks though, with a lot of them from the days I wasn't spotted without a smear of the stuff on my lips (namely my all time favourite, the Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in Ballet, of which I've gone through many a tube over the years). Now days though, I really adore the Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Sheer Streak, which is almost peach, but not quite. It's sweet, sheer and beautifully glossy, plus, it feels amazing on.

1. Face of Australia Lip Quench SPF30+ Moisturising Lipstick in Peaches & Cream 2. Red Earth Pigment Rich Lipstick in Sunset Pink 3. Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick in Pink Gossip
4. Clinique Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick in Matte Petal 5. Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Sheer Streak 6. Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in Ballet

LIP GLOSSES

I used to love lip glosses. There was a time when you weren't cool unless you sported one in your dress pockets at school, and since they were always cheapies, unfortunately it was all to common for them to explode in said uniform on a hot day. Needless to say, my budget is a little more healthy these days and I've got my hands on some amazing (and very much back in fashion) glosses.

1. Curtis Collection V Gloss in Stolen Kiss 2. Maybelline Colour Elixir Colour Sensational in Rose Redefined 3. Clinique Long Last Glosswear in Woo Me

LIP BALMS

Not surprisingly, my pink lip balm collection is dominated by Clinique's Chubby Sticks, but there's a few other classics in there as well, like the 7. Mecca Cosmetica Limited Edition Lip De Luscious pot, which was one of the best limited edition purchases I've ever made (hopefully it'll be available this Christmas too!), and the very comfortable and nourishing 6. Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Pink Blossom.

1. Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balm in Pudgy Peony 2. Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balm in Super Strawberry 3. Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balm in Curvy Candy
4. Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balm in Woppin' Watermelon 5. Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturising Lip Colour Balm in Budding Blossom 6. Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Pink Blossom
