A Perfect Boho Chic Morning

Taking a moment to breathe and watch the waves crash.
________

Brad and I shot these photos at the beach the weekend before last, and I wanted to share them here on the blog, not just on Instagram. It was such a beautiful, early morning and the soft light was perfect for shooting. It's almost always sunny here, even in the winter, and it's glorious, but it can be somewhat of a challenge to shoot photos under, so I always try to make the most of overcast days.

We had such a busy day planned, but it was so lovely to watch the waves crash and simply take a moment to breathe, which, as I'm sure you're all far too well aware, can be a rare occurrence. I have to admit, I felt super boho in my Mombasa Rose maxi dress with its bell sleeves and lace-up neckline. I'm usually sporting my cut-off denim shorts and a tee at the beach, so it was nice to explore this feminine, chic-hippy side of myself.

In stark contrast of that morning, I've spent almost all of today inside working, which is always such a shame on a flawlessly sunny afternoon. Buzzing on coffee, I finally got around to doing some bookkeeping and accounting (the bane of my existence as a business owner), as well as emails, editing photos and working on the Lion in the Wild editorial calendar. And I'm only just halfway through my to-do list, le sigh.

And on that note, I am off to tackle the rest of my work. Have an amazing week everyone!
