The Cure, The Giveaway and The Feature

The weekly round-up.
________

I'm currently sitting here in my super comfy Mavi threads, finishing off some work and typing this post, before getting ready for a wedding later this afternoon. While none of my friends are getting married yet (we're late bloomers, hey guys?), lots of Brad's are settling down, tying the knot and making cute little families of their own, but this is the first wedding Brad is not a groomsman and thus, the first we get to go to together over all these years (yay!). And before I get rambling on too much, here is the best of the best of this week and a few things coming.

A tea cure. For the better half of the week, I've been feeling very average with persisting nausea, dizziness and a slight headache. Even the belated mocha birthday cake Asha (and Harry) bought over wasn't enough to stop it, nor the tin of delicious Lindt chocolates my dad delivered (yeah, it was a week of sweet deliveries - I love you guys!). Then, over on Twitter, the lovely Bri and Jenelle recommended either peppermint or ginger tea, to which I had both and felt almost instantly better. One cannot deny the powers of tea!

Activeskin Glovember Giveaway. You better believe it, but another super exciting giveaway is coming and this time we've teamed up with online beauty store, Activeskin. We've put together an ah-mazing prize pack full of skincare and makeup to ensure you have glowing skin for the rest of the year and beyond, including Dermalogica, Jane Iredale, Glo Minerals and M Ceutic. Yeah, you're not going to want to miss this one. Entering, as always, will be super simple, so make sure you're following @lioninthewild and @activeskin on Instagram for your chance to win!

Bloglovin feature. This week Lion in the Wild was featured on the Bloglovin' Blog alongside blogging superstars Park & Cube (#respect) and Song of Style for their How to Pack Like a Pro post, where they put together a bunch of pretty spectacular posts from a few of their favourite bloggers and vloggers. I was absolutely blown away that our How to Pack Your Suitcase for a Staycation was included in the mix and proceeded to have the biggest smile on my face for the rest of the day (thanks for the heads up Jenelle!). Actually, I think my first thought was, "Wait, what?! Bloglovin' reads my blog?! [Insert squeal here.]". Thanks for the love, Bloglovin'!

#7DaySkincareChallenge. We're well over half way through this week's #7DaySkincareChallenge, which is being rolled out as we speak on the @lioninthewild Twitter page. So far, I've fallen head-over-heels for the Kora Organics Calming Lavendar Mist, which has found a permanent home on my bedside table, and the Cedar + Stone Mask and Serum. Come Monday, I'll be sharing with you a more comprehensive review on my experience with each of the products I've trialled during the week, so stay tuned for that one.

The highlighter edit is coming. Oh boy, I have a massive thing for highlighting, illuminating and strobing at the moment. It takes a certain amount of strength to not buy every single highlighter in the beauty department, a strength I have not yet mastered and so, somehow, I have ended up with a basket full of brightening, satiny and shimmering powders and creams, and I am not complaining one bit. I've created a pretty epic edit of highlighters and illuminators, which is coming very soon.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! <3
