What I'm Wearing on My Birthday

As of today, I am in the '25 and over' age bracket.

Well, it's official, as of today I am in the '25 and over' category. And you know what? It actually doesn't bother me that I'm getting older (for the moment, anyway), just that time seems to be flying by far too quickly. I mean, it almost feels like I just turned 24, if not for the crazy past year we're had. Despite the craziness, today I wanted to have a leisurely morning and spend time catching up with my amazing family, after all, they've been there every step of the way.

This morning was actually the first time it has been just the four of us in a long time - my mum, dad, brother and I - as Brad and my brother's girlfriend were working (someone has to work around here, heh-heh-heh). Since I love brunch (best meal of the day!), we went to one of my favourite spots in Fremantle; Canvas Cafe at the Fremantle Arts Centre. Is there anything better than catching up with your loved ones over a cappuccino and Shakshuka? Nope.

Weirdly enough, it almost always rains on my birthday, so we did get slightly drizzled on, but it was well worth it. Plus, I was (and still am) wearing my Bluejuice duster coat, which is perfect for a slightly cool spring morning like today when you need a very light layer.

And now I am off, not to start on tonight's champagne, but to drink another cup of coffee. To be honest, what I think I really need is a good nap. It's been such a busy week and I am so ready for the weekend to begin (and a enjoy a good sleep-in!). Oh, the life of a 25-year-old. #25goingon75
