All this extra relaxation has got my skin glowing like never before. And by relaxation I mean indulging in too much food and drink. And by glowing I mean breaking out. Oops. Despite this, I am determined to welcome in the New Year with a fresh, preferably flawless, face (seriously, I'd be happy to not have a blemish). So, I'm turning to my favourite overnight treatments to help turn my dreams into reality; a real life fairytale of sorts.

When I first started using the Alpha-H Liquid Gold back when Sephora Australia launched its online store, I wasn't sure if it would live up to the hype it's received all over the interwebs, especially with my sensitive skin. I can happily say though that this stuff is the bomb dignity, thanks to a little something-something our skin likes to love called Glycolic Acid. As a skin resurfacing treatment, the exfoliating Alpha-H Liquid Gold helps to reduce pigmentation, sun damage and wrinkles, revealing bright and radiant skin. Plus, it helps me big time with unwanted hormonal breakouts. Win win!

The Arcona Vitamin A Complex is another resurfacing overnight treatment, but also contains retinol  (another fabulous dermatologist approved skincare ingredient) and has a serum-like substance, rather than that of a toner like the Liquid Gold. I really adore the feel of the Arcona Vitamin A Complex and the way it makes my skin glow after just one use (let alone 2-3 times a week!). Yeah, it's pricey, but it's definitely worth splurging on the smaller size just to test it out.

Yeah, glycolic acid and retinol are god-like skin savers in the beauty world, but a girl like me still needs some extra hydration, which is why I like to apply the Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask as well, summer and winter. It works really well with either of the above or each alone for a more intense treatment.
