My Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Routine

Another week, another weekly round-up. Except this week hasn't exactly been just another week, now has it? Today is Boxing Day, which means that many of you (including myself!) spent yesterday surrounded by family and friends, amazing food, unwrapped gifts and terrible Christmas cracker jokes, just the way it should be.

Where I'm splurging this Boxing Day. To be quite honest, I very rarely get into Boxing Day Sales, unless they're online. In fact, the last few years have seen me searching high and low for superb flight deals for the year ahead. West Elm for furniture, pillows and trinkets. David Jones for bedding. Net-A-Porter for shoes and handbags. Shopbop for the home. Mecca and Sephora for makeup.

The Christmas Eve and Christmas Day routine. Brad and I have the coordination of family festive events down pat. On Christmas Eve, we spent the night with his family and then woke up early to the kids excitably opening up all their mother load of presents. Brad and his mum have their traditional glass of Baileys as well, while I stick to a strong cup of coffee. After breakfast, we head back home, re-pack our overnight bags, along with Indi, and make the trip to my parent's house. We spend the rest of the afternoon exchanging gifts, enjoying a delicious lunch (my family's specialty) and relaxing with a glass of wine. Weirdly enough, this is only the 3rd Christmas we've done this, as Brad was away working for two and we spent one in snowy French Canada, Mont Tremblant. Despite my craving for a white Christmas though, it's these balmy, sunshine filled days that really feel like the festive season to me.

A much-needed pamper sesh. This week I shared with you my Pre-Christmas Pamper Session, which, as it turns out, also works just as well as a post-Christmas pamper session (well, how about that, eh?!). After all that being merry yesterday and stuffing myself with delicious leftovers today, I am in desperate need for some more self love. Brad and I are heading home tomorrow, after three nights away with our families, so I'm going to be indulging in my favourite masks and treatments before heading out again to see friends throughout the week.

The best makeup of 2015 is coming. I've been working towards this post all year, and while it was a struggle to narrow it down, I have finally compiled my absolute favourite cosmetics that I discovered this year. Featuring 20 of the best foundations, concealers, highlighters, eyeshadows, lipsticks (lots of lipstick!) and more, this is going to be post you won't want to miss, so make sure you stay tuned tomorrow for that one. It's pretty damn impressive.

Celebrating New Years Eve. As expected, this week is not just about reflecting back on 2015, but also welcoming in an exciting New Year.
