An Easy Breezy Outfit for a Rainy Summer's Day

Featuring my new favourite chic and comfy wedges.
________

Oversized shirts, flared shorts and lace-up sandals have become my summer uniform of sorts this season. While the temperatures have dropped today from their usual high 30°C slash 40°C to somewhere in the mid twenties, I can't seem to cool down, so this boyfriend shirt has been the perfect easy breezy cover-up.

You've probably spotted these August Street shorts in numerous posts since I got them mid-2014 (yeah, I've definitely got my wear out of them!). It's their flattering flared cut that keeps me coming back for more and more, year after year, so I thought I would share a few similar pairs with you below under the 'GET THE LOOK' widget. What can I say? I just adore a good tailored short.

It took me almost half the summer to discover these casual yet chic wedges from Forever New. I used to have a similar pair many years ago that I wore to death (I'm pretty sure I was forced to chuck them after the soles broke - sob), so it's great to finally have a comfy pair of summer platforms again. Plus, I won't say no to a little extra height. #justsayin'

I wore this look today to catch-up with my mum over a delicious mug of coffee (no surprises there). It rained this morning (a rarity in summer here), yet when we managed to find a cosy spot outside the café, the sun had found its way through the clouds and it made for a lovely setting.

I'm going to spend the rest of Tuesday afternoon, and no doubt most of the night, editing photos for upcoming articles. As promised in My 2016 Blog Goals and Resolutions, I have a whole bunch of personal style posts to share with you. Don't worry though, I'll still be writing bucket loads of beauty posts too!
