Trend Alert: The Modern Flared Sleeve

A contemporary take on a classic 70s trend.
________

Happy Friday everyone! I'm just sitting at our dining room table, surrounded by pretty white and pink flowers, and a whole bunch of beauty products that I'm going to be trialling over the next month or so (hint: Charlotte Tilbury is most certainly in the mix). I'm also just about to get up and make myself another cappuccino. For some strange reason I'm feeling a bit tired today; no doubt burnt out from a very productive work week.

On another note, I just had to share with you this incredible flared sleeve top from Elliatt, which is one of the most special pieces I've acquired of late with its textured lace detail. I was hoping to share it with you when the Elliatt Grand Hotel top was available online, but alas, I simply couldn't wait any longer (let me know if you want me to notify you when it's available!). I have scoured the web for a few alternatives anyway, for those of you that can't wait, so you can find them under the 'SHOP THE POST' feature.

I've been crushing on anything structured with a bell sleeve of late, well, ever since they've been spotted on the Aussie street style stars, thanks to the one and only Ellery (don't make me blush/gush). There's just something about this trend, having been revived from its hippy 70s grave into a far more modern, innovative and wearable statement, that has me wanting more.

Of course, I couldn't completely turn my back on the 70s, pairing this flirty look with a pair of leg lengthening tan wedges, perfect for a warm day. Oh, and an array of statement gold rings because, hey, I seem to have an infatuation with pairing gold and grey together at the moment too.

Now I'm off to paint my nails and get ready for a ladies wine night. x
