The WCU: Let's Have a Conversation, Shall We?

The Weekly Catch-Up.
________

Another week, another weekly catch-up. Yes, that's right, I've change the weekly round-up to the weekly catch-up, which seems far more appropriate for this weekly segment. And far cooler, right? I really want The Weekly Catch-Up to be a place not only where I share with you the in's and out's of my week, but yours as well. Did you go out for a delicious brunch? Tell us where! Try a new fantastic face mask? Or discovered your new favourite lipstick shade? We want to know! The comments section down below, well, I want it to be a place of conversation where we can all get to know each other.

I'm turning Japanese, I really think so. After feasting on homemade ramen this week, there was nothing more Brad and I craved than a big plate of gyoza (oh baby). So, Brad surprised me with dinner at Hayashi Japanese Restaurant last night. If you read my 25 Random Facts About Me article, then you'd know that Japanese is my favourite cuisine, but I'm actually very picky. While the gyoza and karaage chicken was really good, the overpriced teppanyaki seafood left a lot to be desired. And so, the search continues for the best Japanese in Perth (so far, Nobu is my favourite!).

The rise of the nude lipstick. On Wednesday I shared with you an edit of my favourite nude lipsticks that I reach for day-in and day-out. What I found the most interesting was reading all about your go-to nude lipsticks in both the post comments and on Instagram, with the MAC Velvet Teddy clearly winning your hearts. Oh yes, it is now on my wish list. How have I not tried this iconic shade yet?

Disqus ruined my morning. Seriously, DO NOT INSTALL Disqus* to your website if you have Blogger and if you don't to have the biggest freakout. In a bid to make conversation more simple here on Lion in the Wild, yesterday morning I decided that it was a wonderful idea to install Disqus, which I thoroughly enjoy using when commenting on others' blog posts. As it turns out (and they don't tell you this unless you go looking), Disqus does not sync with Blogger at the moment and hasn't since the beginning of last year, which means you lose every single beautiful comment you've ever had on your blog. I believe there are ways to import the comments, but it may take a HTML genius and/or a lot of trial and error to do it. Le sigh.

My weekend beauty product diary. Early next week I'm going to be sharing with you a chronological list of beauty products I use over the weekend. I thought it would be a fun and interesting way (for you and I both) to see what I naturally reach for each day. I never really thought that I used that many products, but looking at my current list, I have a feeling I'm going to be very surprised.

Target fashion haul. Oh yes, I ventured into Target this morning with Brad and while he picked up a few basic tee's, I ended up with an armful of bits and bobs, from a perfect summer dress and flatform wedges to accessories and my usual cotton pads. I'm planning on wearing the dress tomorrow since it's going to be another warm day, so make sure you're following @lioninthewild on Instagram for a sneak peek!

What was the best thing about your week? x
