How to Look Polished in the Heat of Summer

Here's where I insert my favourite quote by Caitlin (not Jenner) Moran, "When a woman says, 'I have nothing to wear!', what she really means is, 'There's nothing here for who I'm suppose to be today.'" - feel me ladies (and gentlemen)? I spoke a little more about this feeling in my Today I Am article, but all in all it's really about being the best version of ourselves on any given day, whether you're looking fabulous in a pair of your best PJ's or having a pinch-me-moment in a classic Lanvin gown (oh so dreamy).
Can I just quickly mention how much I adore these Forever New culottes? You see, I've been on a quest searching for the perfect white pair for well over a year. I thought I'd found them at a snazzy boutique in Harajuku, but alas, they were very see-through (yikes!). Thankfully, ye ole faithful Forever New has pulled through with the goods once again - the non-tranparent variety.
The thing about the trending culotte is that I could wear them almost anywhere. They transition so perfectly from a smart day to dressy night with little to no effort needed. And they make me feel more 'put together' than a shorter short or skirt, even on a super warm summer day.
So, while I'll been living in light summer dresses and my One Teaspoon's for as long as this stinking hot weather lingers (circa end of March or longer, no doubt), I know I'll be reaching for my tailored white culottes whenever I crave a dash of grace and a swish of elegance. Next up? Styling them down with a pair of killer white kicks. It's happening.
