The Catch-Up: Books, Phones & Sleepwear

The weekly catch-up.
________

Another week, another weekly catch-up. As we do every weekend, not only do I want to talk to you about the highlights of my week, but I also want to know about yours! Have you accomplished a goal (or begun one)? Started reading a new book? Or simply enjoyed a little recuperation time? No matter what it is, I'd love to know! After all, Lion in the Wild is all about conversation, getting to know each other and discovering new things.

Coffee and catch-ups. This morning I caught up with Ash (aka. super babe Ashleigh D'Mello), doing what I do best; drink coffee (obvs).  She is one of the most lovely, down to Earth and genuine beauties you'll ever meet, so it's always great to sit down and have a proper catch-up. Don't forget to check out Ashleigh's super long legs blog and Instagram (that girl has some killer style).

I smashed my phone. I've had my iPhone 5 for almost three years and I finally managed to break it last weekend. In need of an excuse to buy a new one, I found myself trudging through weekend crowds at my local shopping centre to find the best phone plan deal possible. As it turns out, they all had crappy deals or offered an insane amount of data for a ridiculous amount of money. Glad to be out of the shops and on my way home, I hopped online. A few clicks and two days later, and the iPhone 6s is mine, in all of its luxe gold glory. The verdict? Well, so far, I'm in-love with my new sidekick.

Break-Ups & Breakthroughs. No, no, this doesn't apply to me directly! But this is the new title of Lisa Messenger's new book. Just when you think she couldn't possibly be more wise, Lisa writes yet another captivating and aesthetically beautiful book that you should definitely pick up. Even though I have been in an amazing relationship for over four years now, I have most certainly experienced break-ups and heart ache in the past, and I am loving every page so far. There's so much great life advice packed into these pretty pages that anyone could relate, as you could take it and apply it to all sorts of situations. And so, the book shelf grows. #lifegoals

The new releases got me like, woah. Surely 2016 couldn't possibly bring even more exciting new releases in the beauty world than last year, right? I mean, 2015 was a mecca for seriously amazing beauty discoveries. As it turns out though, I think this year could actually be even better! I'm currently testing a whole bunch of products from the likes of L'Oreal and Maybelline, and I must say, I'm blown away so far. More to come.

Missguided does sleepwear (pictured). And my goodness, they do it damn well. I have a weak spot for stylish PJ's, so when Missguided announced they were creating a sleepwear line, I knew I had to get my sticky paws on a pair. There's just something about wearing pyjamas all day that feels so good, right? And while I couldn't exactly hang out with Ashleigh in my matching Satin Star Print Pyjama Set today, there's still hope for tomorrow!

Don't forget to share your favourite things of you week below too! x
