The Catch-Up: Winter Meets Summer

Our weekly conversation.
________

Another week, another weekly catch-up. As we do every weekend, not only do I want to talk to you about the highlights of my week, but I also want to know about yours! Did you try a new recipe? Begin a new tradition? Or enjoy a pamper session? No matter what it is, I'd love to know! After all, Lion in the Wild is all about conversation, getting to know each other and discovering new things.

1. The first week of winter. Okay, not the official first week of winter, since we're still in autumn, but this week has been cold! It's the first week I've actually had to wear jeans and a cardigan almost everyday, and I'm kind of loving it. It's a nice little teaser for what is coming up. Oh, and I have a feeling that our garden is loving all this rain! Win-win all around.

2. A tropical getaway. While I'm enjoying this cold weather, it won't stop me escaping to somewhere warmer next week. It's been so long since Brad and I jumped on a plane together that I've been excited for weeks now. It wasn't that long ago that we were travelling almost every month, and while I love being more settled (I'm a massive homebody), I'm very much looking forward to taking my office elsewhere. Bring on palm trees, blue skies and a second summer!

3. A new summer wardrobe. Since we're going to a warmer and more humid climate, it was only right that I stocked up on a few bits and pieces. So, I jumped online and made a few cheeky purchases. I discovered a new favourite denim label and got a couple of light summer tops by The Fifth Label that I've been eyeing off on Revolve for ages, which are all going to be perfect for the stinking hot weather.

4. I'm finally on Snapchat! Aside from obsessing over denim shorts and off-the-shoulder tops, (it's a much harder decision than what it may seem, I swear), I also finally got Snapchat this week! My username is 'lioninthewild', so make sure you give me a follow and let me know yours below!

5. Coffee-ing. This morning I woke up bright and early (just kidding, it's totally sleep-in weather), and met up with my blogger bestie Ashleigh for catch-ups and coffee before we both head off on our adventures over the next couple of weeks. We ended up eating way too much at Gusto Café in South Perth and it was delicious. Who doesn't want honeycomb and donuts for breakfast? Oh, and she taught me how to use Snapchat, so if you want to see our morning, make sure you follow lioninthewild!

I can't wait to read all about your week below as well! x
