10 Things You Need to Try from Sephora

The beauty innovators and game changers.
________

I still remember the first time I stepped foot into a Sephora store in Montreal, Canada. I felt like I had just walked into beauty heaven, but more so that than, I was completely and utterly overwhelmed. Thank goodness for the amazing staff. So, today I want to share with you my top 10 must-have products from Sephora.com.au, just incase you need a little help too.

1. Alpha-H Liquid Gold.

I've raved on and on about the Alpha-H Liquid Gold what seems like a zillion times here on Lion in the Wild, but its brilliance most certainly deserves to be on this epic list of beauty must-have.

The first time I got my hands on the Liquid Gold was last year when Sephora Australia launched online and my skin has enjoyed its revitalising, firming and smoothing properties ever since.

2. IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream.

I'll admit, I haven't really been tempted to alter my skincare regime over the past 6-months. That was until I discovered the IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream, which is packed with all the good stuff (you know, hyaluronic acid, collagen, peptides, ceramics, antioxidants - the usual skin-loving suspects).

As someone with dry skin, I need a daily moisturiser that not only nourishes and improves the texture of my skin, but also packs in plenty of hydration, which it most certainly does. Extra points for the fab packaging.

3. Sephora Collection Smoothing Primer.

You may have noticed that when it comes to primers, I'm either dedicated to using them every single day or not at all. Chances are, if I'm committed, it's usually because I've found a product that feels silky soft, looks smooth and prolongs the wear of my makeup.

Not only does the Sephora Collection Smoothing Primer achieve that, but also manages to not clog up my pores, but instead protect my skin thanks to my skin besties, antioxidants. Oh yes, I am back on the primer train once again.

4. It Cosmetics CC+ Colour Correcting Full Coverage Cream.

Finding the perfect foundation for your skin type can be an impossible task in such a saturated industry, but believe me, it does exist.

One of these perfect foundation for me is the skincare hybrid, the It Cosmetics CC+ Illumination Cream, but sometimes I prefer a little less dewiness and a little more glow, which is why I've been using their CC+ Colour Correcting Full Coverage Cream SPF50+ lately.

Not only does it cover blemishes, the It Cosmetics CC+ Cream looks and feels incredibly natural, and lasts all day long (even in extreme humidity!) without creasing. You have to try it to believe it!

5. Make Up Forever High Definition Foundation.

It's hard to ignore the über popular Make Up Forever HD Foundation, one of Sephora's most popular bases. Like the It Cosmetics CC+ Cream, the HD Foundation is very lightweight and natural, but was made for one purpose: flawless skin on and off camera.

Despite its semi-matte finish, the foundation doesn't dry out my skin like some matte formulas can, which is why I've added it to my winter makeup lineup. In fact, it's become one of my foundation go-to's!

6. Cover FX Contour Kit.

I've almost always used a powder to lightly contour my face, apart from the on-the-go Clinique Chubby Sticks, but I was always fascinated by cream contour palettes. Then, I finally got my sticky paws on the Cover FX Contour Kit, which is kind of fabulous in every way.

It's perfect for anyone looking to expertly contour their face, whether your inspiration is Kim Kardashian or something a little more natural (bingo!). I'd highly recommend the Cover FX Contour Brush while you're at it too, as it will make for a far more precise and effortless application. Tip: A little goes a long way with the darker shades.

7. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer.

I was a little late to the Anastasia Beverly Hills party, but it was better late than never, especially when it comes to creating the perfect brow (very important beauty business). Adding to my small, but much loved collection, is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer, which has the very convenient brow spooley brush on the other end, like the Brow Wiz.

What I love about the Brow Definer is how natural the application appears, thanks to the triangular tip that allows you to fill your eyebrows with perfect wisps of 'hair'. Now everybody can have thicker brows!

8. Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette.

Another long time favourite of mine for well over a year is the Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette, packed with twelve buttery soft, neutral, matte eye shadows. It's one of my must-have beauty products of all time, and not just due to the amazing formula, but for its day-to-night versatility. Learn how to create 3 different eyeshadow looks here with the Eye Contour Palette.

9. Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara.

Let's begin by pointing out the obvious: Marc Jacobs Beauty packaging is the definition of luxe perfection and it's not just the packaging that has everybody looking like a heart-eyed emoji.

As it turns out, the product itself is damn impressive and the same can be said for the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara. If you're looking for a high-end mascara that can reach and amplify all those hard-to-get lashes, then you'll adore this one.

10. Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint.

Finally, I wanted to introduce to you the Tarte Tartiest Lip Paint, which I have in the deep red shade, Bae. While the liquid lipstick is a true velvet matte finish, it's super creamy and non-drying, which is why I absolutely adore the super pigmented and bold Lip Paint. Now to add the other shades to my wish list.

Have you tried any of these amazing products yet? What's on your Sephora wish list?
