Is This Bali's Most Instagram-able Hotel?
The Sal Secret Spot experience with The Asia Collective.
To say I was excited to experience Sal Secret Spot during our trip to Bali would be an understatement, to say the least. I had spotted its Mediterranean white wash walls and rustic decor numerous times on Instagram and Pinterest, and I just knew it was going to be an Instagram-mers dream. Needless to say, it was just that and so much more.
As soon as we arrived at the reception, we were offered delicious welcome drinks (always appreciated in the Balinese heat!) and then accompanied to our room at the main resort by one of the friendly staff members (there are also magnificent ocean view suites available offsite). While the room itself was bare and basic, it was made up for with the ever-so-charming front porch (pictured above), with its rustic lounge and lush green gardens, and the open-air shower.
We lazed on our white wash front porch, making use of the WIFI and matching perfectly with the decor. What can I say? I wish it was a coincidence, but hey, Instagram. Ha-ha-ha!
Actually, this was one of my all-time favourite holiday looks, with my striped Faithful the Brand shirt dress (yeah, I'm a sucker for an oversized dress), the lace-up Urge gladiator sandals and my go-to's, the Ace of Something boater hat (on sale!) and classic round shades by Ray-Ban's. Oh yes, I'm going to be repeating this one again as soon as the weather heats up around here!
Before long, we had donned our bathers and were enjoying a mojito by the main pool. Truth be told, there's nothing more satisfying than spending a whole afternoon doing nothing except lazing on a sun bed and drinking mojitos between refreshing dips in the pool.
I'm wearing: Faithful the Brand shirt dress and Ace of Something hat, both from Shopbop, Urge gladiator lace-up sandals, Pushmataaha bangle, Ray-Bansunglasses and Essie white nail polish.
