Oh, How Good It Feels to be Home with CLUSE

I’m currently sitting on the couch, legs up on my new pink velvet ottoman, sipping on a hot mug of coffee and typing away. Oh, and being distracted by my new CLUSE Triomphe watch, but more on that later. I’m home and, my goodness, does it feel good! You already know how much of a homebody I am, despite my seemingly global wanderlust habits of late, so every moment I get to simply be home is cherished. And I’m not just talking about days spent on the couch watching Netflix, although they’re definitely welcomed, especially if there’s chocolate. Just saying.
To be honest, the primary goal when I’m not travelling (aside from catching up on sleep) is to get as much work done as possible. I’ve been waking up super early, walking to the beach, enjoying my morning cappuccino and starting on my never ending to-do list, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank goodness for that too, ‘cause my inbox is overflowing – eek!
One of the things I miss the most when I’m away is home cooking (although preferably the type where I don’t actually have to cook it myself – heh-heh-heh!), so I’ve been enjoying lots of homemade meals (chicken congee, Thai green curry, baked vegetables and fish are all on this menu this week), fresh fruit and vegetables. And chocolate. And great coffee. You get my point.
It’s autumn in Australia, so while the weather is somewhat temperamental with warm sunshine one day and thunderstorms the next, the interior of our house feels like it could be spring. I love snuggling up on the couch like this with the soft light streaming through the curtains. Since we’re home for half a month (so good!), I even treated us to a bunch of fresh roses, which is the perfect way to brighten a dull autumn day. I’ll admit, perfect blue skies aren’t rare here no matter the month, but it’s still nice to pretend its spring.
Today is one of those tick-as-many-tasks-off-the-list-as-possible days, so I’m staying comfy yet chic in a draped off-the-shoulder top, high-waisted boyfriend jeans and a CLUSE watch, as always. I’ve been swapping between the new CLUSE La Garçonne, White and Triomphe styles in recent weeks, and I still can’t choose a favourite. The unique CLUSE Triomphe timepiece in rose gold won the race today though, with its minimalist round face and bicolour mesh strap. Isn’t it beautiful?
With that said, it’s time for me to get up, make another coffee and write another blog post. Oh, and I guess I should start packing my suitcase since we’re off on another adventure this week!
