Nestled in the heart of global shopping mecca 5th Avenue (think every single one of your favourite high street and high end boutiques – heaven on 5th), Andaz Hotel is the perfect haven above from the hustle and bustle of the big city. While the streets below may be teeming with happy shoppers jumping from one store to the next, you’ll be putting your feet up in your very own luxury hotel room after a day of retail therapy. Sounds divine, right?

Aside from the incredible city views, impeccable service and Apotheke amenities (who knew Sea Salt Grapefruit could be such a pleasing combination?), the most unforgettable thing from our stay at Andaz was the delicious French toast I ordered and reluctantly shared with Brad on our first morning. We had decided to stay in and enjoy the view from our oversized Andaz Suite, but I never expected to indulge in the best French toast I’ve ever had in my life. No exaggeration. And yes, I’ve dedicated a whole paragraph to French toast. It was that good.

Before a day of shopping (we mainly pursued window shopping due to our inability to make decisions, aside from a couple of beauty bag essentials from Sephora – the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation and a Beauty Blender), we enjoyed that view just a little more from the terrace. It actually felt like a warm spring day at 6°C after the great freeze of the polar vortex, so I took full advantage in a mini dress, stockings and a turtle neck jumper. Oh, how refreshing it was not to wear a thousand layers of thermals.

All I can say is, take me back to days here! Ah, if only.
