A Perfect Day at James Hotel in NoMad

Our days at James Hotel in NoMad consisted of two things; relaxing mornings in our beautiful hotel and afternoons exploring the surrounding area, and I most certainly was not complaining one bit. On this particular day, Brad and I woke up late to the view of the Empire State Building from our James Suite bedroom window (with Empire State of Mind in my head, no less), and I decided it would be the perfect moment to relax and take advantage of our incredibly spacious suite.
After enjoying my AM coffee in bed, courtesy of Brad who stumbled downstairs to the lobby where complimentary coffee and tea was served, I lathered up a storm with the Appelles Skin amenities in the bathroom. It’s always such a treat when a hotel treats you with amazing beauty products, so you can imagine my delight to use a brand I’ve had in my own bathroom for years. It felt just like home. They even surprised us with the Vitamin B3 Body Buff and Davidson Plum Skin Lotion. One word: DIVINE.
Let me set the scene for you. It’s the middle of a freezing cold New York winter and my Aussie skin is in despair over the dryness. And then boom, a morning of relaxation and self-pampering later, and my skin was as soft, smooth and hydrated as ever. Winter what now? You ain’t got nothing on me. Or Appelles. Yeah, definitely Appelles. Hey, I’m still taking credit.
After getting ready (aka. reluctantly swapping my dressing gown for clothing), my luminous skin and I (and Brad) decided to hit the town and explore Midtown Manhattan. Needless to say, the James Hotel is in an amazing location if Korea Town, the Flat Iron and the Empire State Building (to name but a few) are your thing.
Trust me, they’re your thing.
