Fresh Winter Wardrobe Additions: The Backpack, Oversized Coat And Striped Top
Does one even need to defend their love for clothes?

Look who is finally embracing the backpack trend! I have to confess, I really didn't think I'd ever rep' this particular back-to-school accessory, but Boohoo.com swayed me with their über cool leather Lucy Back Pack. I tell you what though, this bad boy would have come in handy back in the old university days, that's for sure. I swear this backpack fits everything I could ever need to carry around with me and some.
I wore this casual outfit to Sunday brunch at Toast with my family yesterday. And yes, it does seem that posts recently on Lion in the Wild do seem to come together around family and food (see here), two of my favourite things. You may have noticed that I've also added a new addition to my dearest coat collection, the Caroline Coat from Miss Moncur (one of my new favourite online boutiques who recently interviewed me here on all things blogging and style). I know what you're thinking; why does somebody from sunny Perth, Australia, need multiple coats? Truth is that it does indeed get very cool here, despite the often perfect blue skies, or at least that's my excuse. I just like coats. Does one even need to defend their love for clothes? I didn't think so.
It seems I've gone back to my monochromatic ways of late with my go-to back-and-white stripes, without abandoning my newly formed addiction to colour. That is what first attracted me to the oversized Talulah Whispering Wonder Top from Adair Boutique; the different prints of the front and back describing my evolving style perfectly at the moment.
