The Perfect Spring Shades from Toy Nails

Happy first day of spring!

________

As I look outside the Lion in the Wild HQ office window, I'm met with the vision of spring; buzzing bees on pretty white flowers and bright blue skies with fluffy white clouds. All I can wish for now is slightly warmer weather and long spring days, which are slowly but surely approaching.

To celebrate the first day of spring here in Australia, I'm going to share with you my new favourite nail polish shades from TOY Nails. Keeping with the spring theme, I've selected a couple of pinks, a sky blue and classic white; must-have colours for the season ahead. If you find yourself in the northern hemisphere and are faced with the end of summer, these hues are sure to keep that summer mood going (at least until a chilly winter!).

For your information, I've applied two coats of each colour in the following images. Oh, and I really suck at applying nail polish, so yours are bound to look a trillion times better (though the each TOY Nails brush makes the application process a lot easier than most)!

Unicorn Whisper

How could I not share with you the TOY Nails Unicorn Whisper shade, with white being my usual nail colour of choice. White is my all-time favourite colour for nails and one that I often visit over and over again, no matter what the season. There is something so classic, yet chic about a white nail, however it can be so easy to get wrong, often looking like you've applied white-out instead. I really love the TOY Nails Unicorn Whisper (and not just because of the name), though I'd probably recommend making time to do one extra third layer to avoid all streaks (more than likely that is just from my shaky hand).
________

Azul Claro

I often find that blue nail colours lack in pigment and therefore need a few coats just to get the desired effect, however TOY Nails Azul Claro makes a statement after just two easy applications. This is the perfect shade of sky blue too, a perfect spring colour.
________

Rosado neon

This is colour, as you can see, is a Barbie neon pink, which I have to say I'm loving (the 7-year-old me is in awe of this one!). It has a more matte finish than the other three colours and really only needs to be applied once with such a strong pigment.
________

Mandarina

I have to say, this is probably my favourite colour of the lot, no doubt because it's peachy pink hue is one of the trendiest colours at the moment. It's a really understated pink, which means it doesn't come across as 'girly' as the previous pink.
________

Artic Matte

I absolutely had to share this one with you, being that it is now one of my favourite ever nail products. True to its name, TOY Nails Matte top coat literally 'mattefies' your chosen polish instantly after just one application.
