The Most Magical Cream Eyeshadow Ever

Trust me, you'll want to add this one to your stash.

As you guys know from this weekly round-up, this year Charlotte Tilbury launched in Australia (yay!), so when I got my hands on a box of her luxurious goodies I was ridiculously excited. In saying that though, there was one product I hoped would be included. So, you can imagine my delight when I spotted the tiny cubed box that held the Eyes to Mesmerise Long-Lasting Easy Cream Eyeshadow in Bette, the perfect shade for a blue-eyed (often grey) girl like me.

Upon opening the small frosted glass pot, I was greeted by the most stunning deep warm, golden bronze cream I've ever seen. In fact, it almost looked too good to disturb in all of it's metallic glory. Almost. I had heard so many raving reviews from a zillion different beauty bloggers that I really couldn't wait to finally try it for myself. And I tell you what, I was most certainly not disappointed. Not one tiny little bit.

First, I primed my lid with the Urban Decay Primer Potion and a dusting of the Australis Ready Set Go Finishing Powder, as I'd heard the Cream Eyeshadow can crease a little after a few hours or so of wear. Then I grabbed my Sigma E40 Tapered Blending Brush, picked up a little pigmented shimmer from the tub and began applying it to my eyelid, working my way outwards. The first layer produced a wonderful sheer swish of metallic colour, perfect for everyday wear. As I continued to apply more product, that's when the magic really begun, as my lids gleamed with the most beautiful copper shade I've ever seen.

As you can tell by the images, one word to describe the Eyes to Mesmerise Long-Lasting Easy Cream Eyeshadow is multi-dimensional. Indeed, it was as though I had swiped on a multitude of different shades and carefully blended them until they became this stunning display. I was amazed (and still am), that one cream shadow could truly create this look. I also applied it along the bottom lash line with my Sigma E30 Pencil Brush for additional coppery goodness (swoon).

To finish the eye look, I also applied the Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon Eyeshadow Pencil in Champagne Diamonds to the very inner corners of my eyes for added sparkle (as if I needed it!), lined the top lid with the Charlotte Tilbury The Feline Flick Quick Fine Line Shodö Eyeliner Pen and applied layers of the Rimmel ScandalEyes Xtreme Mascara, top and bottom. And how could I not use the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Swish and Pop Blusher in First Love to add a little colour to my cheeks, and the stunning Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Penelope Pink (let's take a moment to admire its luxurious copper packaging...) with layers of the (you guessed it) Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre Lip Lacquer in Blondie. Yeah, I know, lots of CT, but who's complaining? Most certainly not me.

Honestly, while the Charlotte Tilbury line is pricey, I truly believe they're worth every single penny for the incredible quality and for the amount you'd wear them (ahem, every single day!). So, if you are looking for a high end cosmetics brand to splurge on come payday, then Charlotte Tilbury is the gal for you. Now I really need to get my hands on the CT Wonderglow Primer and Light Wonder Foundation...
