The Skincare that Works While You Sleep
Sound too good to be true?

After hearing consistently amazing things about the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour range, I was ridiculously excited to try the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant Nighttime Miracle Moisturiser, which is a very rich and very heavy cream (actually, it feels more like a balm) with the most delicious scent (words cannot describe). I like to scoop just a little out, warm it up by rubbing the product between my fingertips and gently pressed it onto the skin. It's so thick that you real only need the tiniest amount, even for somebody like me who has naturally dry skin. Make a habit of exhaling the scent in deeply as well, as it will help you relax before bedtime for the ultimate beauty sleep. I don't use the Nighttime Miracle Moisturiser on my face every night, since it is so rich, but it can also be applied to other dry areas on your body, such as hands, feet and elbows. Even now, as I type this, I've applied a small amount to my slightly chapped lips and they already feel ten times better.
The other night cream I was really thrilled to get my hands on was the Dermalogica PowerBright Pure Night, an overnight treatment that's meant to help with spots and uneven skin tone, as well as smoothing and hydrating. Even though I only just started using it, I wanted to introduce you to the Pure Night cream because it feels so luxurious when applied, and made my skin look and feel fresh in the mornings. It is recommended to be used alongside the Dermalogica PowerBright Pure Light SPF 50 and C-12 PowerBright Pure Bright Serum, all of which work towards protecting, nourishing and battling pigmentation. Tick, tick and tick! More to come.
Special mentions go out to the The Body Shop Pomegranate Firming Night Cream (which I spoke about in this article), the Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Night Cream (a great simple cream for young normal/dry skin that moisturises and gives skin a healthy glow) and, finally, the Aveeno Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream (I prefer not to use this one when I'm overly sensitive as it is pretty intense, but it's great when my skin is actually behaving itself).
You must tell me your favourite go-to nighttime creams! Don't forget to mention your skin type as well. <3
