Should I Be Using an Eye Cream?

In your 20s? Then you have to read this.
________

Sometimes skincare is a little confusing, especially when you're in your twenties and even more so when it comes to our delicate eye areas. Do we need to use this? Should we be using that? In fact, I've been asking the same questions about whether or not I should even be thinking about using an eye cream at my tender age. I mean, I'm in my mid-twenties. It's not like a have wrinkles yet, right? Wrong.

As it turns out, your twenties is the time to start using eye creams, serums or treatments, especially if you're beginning to notice a fine line or three, dark circles and puffiness, or general dullness. I mean, we're at an age where we can still make a huge difference to our skin and our bodies, so why not spend a little more time giving ourselves some much needed TLC?

I've been using eye products on and off for a year or so now, but lately I've been putting in more of an effort to consistently apply them during my daily beauty routine. After all, we're not going to be young forever. My current favourite is the 100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream, which has helped a lot with the slight dark circles I have underneath my eyes, as well as making me look generally more awake in the mornings. It's such a huge tube, and since I only use a tiny little bit on my ring fingers, I have a feeling it's going to last me for ages. The Nip+Fab Bee Sting Fix Eye cream and The Body Shop Pomegranate Firming & Refreshing Eye Roll-On are also great for waking up tired eyes.

The Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream is another goodie packed with moisture boosting and fine line fighting ingredients, plus it kind of smells delicious. I actually love the way the cool cream feels once applied and it absorbs almost instantly, so there's no waiting around before using an SPF and/or makeup afterwards. Like the Antipodes Eye Cream, the Obagi ELASTIderm Eye Complete Complex Serum has a cooling sensation as well, which is further enhanced by the rollerball that also guarantees a suitably gentle application.

So, if you're in your twenties and haven't started using an eye cream, then it's time to start giving that delicate area around your eyes a little extra loving.
