The A-Line Suede Skirt and Tan Wedges

The ultimate long legs combination (for those of us that lack the 'long' part).
________

Apparently this post should be all about 'how to fake long legs', because woah, my legs are not as long as they look in these photos. At a fairly average 5"6, I only have that high-waisted H&M skirt and a pair of killer platform wedges to thank for the deception. Oh, and a boyfriend/photographer that has perfected the bend-down-to-give-Kiara-legs pose (what a guy). Actually, I've been astonished by how many people actually think I stand 5"10 just from the photos here on the blog and Instagram (and how surprised they are when we finally meet - heh-heh-heh). I guess it just goes to show the power of a well styled outfit, non?

I've actually had such a great day today after a pretty average start to the week. My lovely parents came to visit me and we all went for brunch, snagging a much coveted seat outside in the sunshine. My goodness, was it glorious! Sitting there, catching up with my mum and dad over a delicious cappuccino and scrambled eggs, I realised that it really doesn't get much better than moments like these. Since moving out of home years ago, I've appreciated the times I get to see and spend time with my family so much more, something I probably took for granted before when I saw them every day.

Anyway, before this gets too sentimental (not that there is anything wrong with that), I'm out of here. I have lots and lots of daily posts lined up, so don't forget to check back soon! Oh, and if you have any requests, be sure to let me know via the @lioninthewild Twitter or down below in the comments. <3
