Spring, Sunshine and Sandals

The weekly round-up.
________

This was the week we experienced four seasons in seven days. We started off in spring, then laid about in summer (yep, summer in September!) until it was over with a winter storm and, finally, we've landed here in autumn. Like I said, we have literally had four seasons. Anyway, less about weather and, well, more about my week, which includes weather (hahaha, oops!).

Beach days have departed as soon as they arrived. Oh, but they'll be back before we know it. Can you believe it hit a hot 32°C this week? It was the earliest we've ever had 30+ degree weather in spring according to the record books, so naturally I tried to spend as much time as possible outside. The day before was just a little cooler, but it was a perfect day to head down to the beach and spend time playing in the waves with Asha and her über cute little boy. It's been raining for the last few days though, with an impressive storm on Thursday, but I know we'll be back to perfect sunny and warm days very soon.

Spring has sprung. Well, obviously, but it seems spring has taken over here on Lion in the Wild with a couple of warm weather outfit posts featuring a new favourite dress and the denim skirt trend, plus the beauty articles featuring a few complexion palettes and yesterdays nail polish line-up, all perfect for spring. If you have any requests for any more seasonal posts (even for those in the northern hemisphere), let me know in the comments below or on Twitter (@lioninthewild).

Still not over the Ole Henriksen Power Peel. I think I'm going to do another one next week, what do you think? I wrote all about how much I loved the professional spa grade at-home peel this week after having a really wonderful experience with it, not to mention my glowing and spot-free complexion since using it. I only have one left [insert sad emoji here] so I don't know if I want to use it yet or not. Why is there no Sephora in Perth yet?

West Coast vs. Hawthorn. I was ridiculously excited for this first game of the AFL finals series as a massive West Coast Eagles supporter and it did not disappoint. Well, at least not for the Eagles. I love Aussie Rules, so it's really great to see West Coast triumph over the reigning premiers and come out as the current premiership favourites to exceed all expectations. There's still a long way to go though, so I'm not going to get too excited yet, that's for sure. Before I get too into the footy talk...

I found the perfect lace-up gladiator sandals. When I was stalking checking out Laurie's Instagram page (@theruecollective) the other day, I spotted her sporting the most ah-mazing gladiator sandals ever and knew I had to get my hands on them ASAP or otherwise risk dying of jealousy. They arrived in the mail not long after and, woah, they're that good. They'll be practically glued to my feet for the rest of the year, so I'm sure you'll see them more than a few times very soon. For the moment though, you can check out their fabulousness here and in black here.
