Paradise, Peach and Pinkprint
The weekly round-up.
________
Meant to be in paradise. So, long story short, Brad and I were meant to fly to Bali this morning, but we had to change our flights last minute. It's such a busy time at the moment and we weren't able to organise it in-time, so we decided to change them. Unfortunately, we won't be heading up there until next year as our schedules just weren't lining up, but it's something to look forward to! To be honest, I'm mainly disappointed that we won't be celebrating our anniversary tomorrow at St. Regis with the best brunch ever and a few cocktails (oh, all the food babies that could have been had!).
Beach weather. To make up for our lack of tropical island paradises (or maybe just because we live on the coast now), we headed to the beach this afternoon, but unfortunately it wasn't quite bikini weather thanks to our coastal wind (boo!). I was really hoping to finally wear my Jets by Jessika Allen Luxe Bikini, but until next time. Or, even better, next weekend.
7 days, 13 lucky new beauty products. I know, I know. I've spoken about my #7DayMakeupChallenge a lot over the last couple of weeks or so, but I had the most amount of fun pushing the boundaries of my personal everyday beauty routine and trying out a whole bunch of new cosmetics in the process. I even did a 7 Day Makeup Challenge round-up of each product and beauty look.
The smoothest lips ever. Guess what I got?! And no, not smooth lips since I just ran out of my treasured Lanolips 101 Ointment in Peach. I could see only dark, dark days ahead and then a miracle was deposited at my front door and all was good again. Yeah, I now have a whole bunch of new Lanolips goodies, including the Lanolips 101 Ointment in Apple (it literally smells like I just opened a new bottle of apple juice - yum!) and the Lanolips Antibacterial Hand Cream.
I'm not really into Nicki Minaj. Let's just say that I'm more of a Triple J kind of gal when it comes to music and all I can think about now when I think about Nicki Minaj is "Miley, what's good?". Can you really blame me? Then this week I was sent the new Nicki Minaj The Pinkprint fragrance, which is as flamboyant as Nicki herself, however I was surprised to find that I quite enjoyed the fragrance (say whaaa?). It has this interesting feminine scent with notes of citrus and floral, including pink grapefruit and frangipani - perfect for a warm spring day like today! I think the last time I was into a celebrity fragrance was back in 2004 when Britney Spears launched Curious (obsessed).
Wishing everyone an absolutely amazing weekend! Until tomorrow. xx
